1st Eynsford & Farningham Scout & Guide Group
At the beginning of the month on 1st March we celebrated the Groups 95th anniversary with a celebration dinner in the village hall. 60 past and present members sat down to a camp style dinner of Leek & Potato Soup, followed by Sausage & Mash, with Spotted Dick to Jam Roly Poly to follow. All this was washed down with a glass of wine or a beer or two! As well as having our President Guy Hart Dyke in attendance we were delighted to have the County Commissioner for Kent, Kelvin Holford as the guest of honour. Kelvin presented some awards to the current Leaders & Group Executive for their good work in 2007. Thanks must go to Ken & Dee Baker who
coordinated the invites, the Chislehurst District Fellowship who did the Catering, and to Alan Cremer for an excellent job as MC.
We are collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers; they are coming in thick and fast. We would very much like to exceed last year’s total of just over 5000 vouchers. Please keep them coming in!
Our diary for the year is starting to fill up, with our Jumble sale on 10 May, the Fun Day on the Common Meadow at the end of June.
