9 Rainbows and their mum’s attended the first meeting of the 1st Farningham & Eynsford Rainbows Company, today, Saturday 15th September.
The meeting started with each Rainbow being given a picture of a rainbow to colour in, followed by some getting to know you games. They were also introduced to their Rainbow mascots Olivia the Rainbow Doll and Mr Ted the teddy bear! Each week two Rainbows’ will take one of them home and give a diary to the other Rainbow’s the next week, of what their mascots have been up to.
A timely stroke of luck happened the day before their first meeting, the equipment the Scout & guide Group received from the Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers we collected earlier in the year arrived. Amongst the items was a parachute which all had fun in playing with.
