HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Well here we are again at the start of a brand new year, and if 2007 is anything to go by then 2008 promises to be even better!
Our first event of the year is our 95th Anniversary Group Reunion Dinner at Eynsford Village Hall on 1st March 2008. If you are a past member of the Group – Beaver, (Wolf) Cub, Scout, Venture Scout, Rover Scout, Leader, Exec member, etc please contact Ken Baker a.s.a.p. for details. Other events planned for 2008 are our annual Jumble Sale at the Scout Hall, our Family Fun Day on the Common Meadow, Village Boot Fair & Fireworks.
We will be also participating in the Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme again starting in February, last year you helped contribute towards games & equipment, which has been of invaluable use to the young people, we serve.
Without wanting to sound repetitive, we can only provide what we do with a strong team of adults who have as much fun as the young people do, so if you’re interested in helping in any way please do not hesitate to speak to the Leaders or give me a shout!
Let’s see where our Adventure in 2008 takes us!
